I am using the base genesis 2 female maps with FaceGen.  If I don't adjust any of the tint or color parameters, I get a seamless texture but the much lighter face that I am using still appears light in the finished product, like a layer of lighter-colored makeup.  If I try to adjust the tint in the color tab, or change the the base maps, I end up with a seam at the neck where the colors do not match.  No such seam between the torso/limbs.

I need to be able to produce lighter overall maps, so that I can apply tint in post processing, and I need the lighter faces I use to actually blend and not look like ghost faces on a darker body.  What am I doing wrong?  Suggestions?  Thank you.

You need to update all the Diffuse Color maps to have no seams.

After you make any change to the face in FaceGen Artist, export and follow the instructions to update all surfaces (19 for G2F) with the new color maps (4 for G2F).

The instructions are shown after exporting (you may have to scroll down):

------------------

Your new texture images have been saved here:

C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\Runtime\Textures\FaceGen\Genesis2F\test\test_*

To apply your new color maps:

 1. Select Surfaces -> Editor -> Genesis 2 Female -> Surfaces.
 2. Ensure that 'UV Set' is set to: G2 Base Female
 3. Bind surfaces to images by selecting then clicking on the image icon in
    'Diffuse Color' and choosing 'browse':
    Bind the following surfaces to the respective image:
    Face,Lips : <name>_face.jpg
    Iris,Lacrimals,Pupils,Sclera : <name>_eyes.jpg
    Ears,Head,Hips,Neck,Nipples,Torso : <name>_torso.jpg
    Feet,Fingernails,Forearms,Hands,Legs,Shoulders,Toenails : <name>_limbs.jpg

Best wishes,
