A reminder to sign up for the Spring Celebration (see details below) by tomorrow to make sure we can accommodate all dietary restrictions!

Farm to School Vancouver Area Spring Celebration
Save the date for the Farm to School BC Vancouver Area Spring Celebration, happening on May 26  from 4:30 - 7:30 pm at Fresh Roots Urban Farm at Van Tech Secondary School in Vancouver. Join us to share and celebrate farm to school activities taking place in the Vancouver Area. Connect with teachers and community partners engaged in food literacy initiatives, network with other leaders and members of Farm to School BC programs in the region, and celebrate farm to school successes over a delicious dinner. This event will take place outside with activities that can allow for physical distancing based on attendee comfort levels. 

This event will feature:
  • Picnic Dinner
  • Garden tours
  • Live music
  • Hands-on activities
  • and more!
All members of the Farm to School Network in the Vancouver Area Regional Hub are invited including teachers, parents, students, school district staff, community partners, Elders, and all others who are involved in food literacy and land-based learning connected to K-12 schools within school districts 38, 39, 44, 45, 48, as well as First Nations and independent schools on the territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and Líl̓wat (Lil'wat) Nations (aka Richmond, Vancouver, North Shore or Sea to Sky region). This event is brought to you by the Farm to School BC Vancouver Area Regional Hub.
