Hi Griffin! My name is Jennie and I am the Education Coordinator for Nanaimo Foodshare. I am so happy to hear you are feeling excited and motivated to learn more about our urban farms and local food security! I am leading a Farm tour at Five Acre Farm on January 26th at 1030-12 with our Cultivating Abilities program participants. You are welcome to join in on the tour and farm activities. We are also planning on having an info session at the farm with Les from VIU. I am not sure the date yet but it will be coming up very soon and you are more than welcome to come to that too. I am reaching out following my attendance and participation Farm2School – Dietician focus group, which I really enjoyed, some rich learning in listening to others from around the province. It was inspiring!
