2025 Amendment #2 Discussion - Change draft pick language

I want to clarify the language around draft pick selection since it is now contradictory.  I also want to put in writing that if you miss your pick window, the next person on the list can go.  

Current language: 

In the order of final rankings owners will select an available draft position from #1-#12 which will be their draft position for the live draft. The owner selecting first may select his draft position any day after July 31st, but must pick his draft slot before the first official day of Atlanta Falcons training camp.  Each successive owner will then have 12 hours from the time of preceding selection to announce their intended draft slot.  No owner may select the same draft position as an owner before him in the process.  Once a position is properly selected it will be deemed final and cannot be changed. 

Proposed Language: 

g. Selection Procedure 

1. Start Time: The owner selecting first must select his draft position on August 1st, the official start of Excessive Celebration Preseason
   

2. Selection Window:
   After the first selection is made, each owner will be given a 12-hour window to choose their draft position once it’s their turn. The timer starts immediately after the previous owner makes their selection.

3. Missed Deadline:
   If an owner fails to select a draft position within their allotted time:

   • The next owner on the list will enter their selection window and may make make any valid selection

   • The skipped owner may select any of the remaining slots at any time after his window expires, noting that valid selections made post his window are no longer available.

4. Valid Selection:  No owner may select the same draft position as an owner before him in the process.  Once a position is properly selected it will be deemed final and cannot be changed.

If we’re going to allow multiple owners to be on the clock simultaneously, we should codify the process to make a valid selection.  I.e this year we used GroupMe…

Accept friendly amendment.  New language at the end.  

1. Valid Selection:  No owner may select the same draft position as an owner before him in the process.  Once a position is properly selected it will be deemed final and cannot be changed.  A selection is deemed final when announced through the current league only messaging system (i.e. not via direct text, call, or email)
