2025 Offseason Amendment #1

Non Playoff bowls used to matter, now anything but the Pop Tarts bowl is a joke.  I thought opt outs were going to kill the bowls, but really it was the Transfer portal.  

I suggest that we get rid of the bowl pool and replace it with a Picks pool combining the NCAA playoffs and the NFL playoffs.  

Here is the current Language:

1. The draft pick selection order will be determined using an equally weighted order of finish in three separate off-season events.  Each of the three events will be run by a member of the league (the contest manager) and will be treated as separate contests.  Each event’s rules will be set by the contest manager in advance of the event.  The events used will be:

      i.        NCAA Bowl Pick pool  

     ii.        Previous season’s champion’s selected pool (see list below) 

      iii.       Masters golf tournament pool

A Propose we strike 

      i.        NCAA Bowl Pick pool  

and replace with: 

      i.        Picks Pool for both the NCAA playoff and NFL playoff

This will pass with 9 yay votes.  I vote Yay

With the way the NFL and CFB overlap now, and will likely do it more as they add games and teams, it makes sense to me to combine the pools.  It was weird to have 2 going at the same time.  

Not accepting the friendly amendment, the original motion is still on the table with 6 yay votes so far.

  Trade Process Immediately - We have never vetoed a trade in 16 years and we always have the right to do so by requesting the commish veto and calling a vote.  Would like to write in that trades process immediately, and then a clause that outlines how you would put any trade to league vote.  This would allow for the 3 way trade issue that came up in 2024.   

• 

  Replace “Bowl Pool” with NFL Picks Pool - PASSED

• 

  Change consolation bracket to “Brent Johnson Memorial” consolation bracket
