This issue is related to the older Excel version not supporting the Dynamic Arrays feature.
So even though you get an implementation of XLookup with the XFunctions add-in, it doesn’t give you the dynamic array expansion of the result that you see in new Excel.
If you select all three cells and enter the formula as an array formula with Ctrl+Shift+Enter, I think it will work (I have not tried it myself, though).
