Anyone have any objections if I attempt to have Exaile 4 included in the Fedora Linux distribution?

Exaile 3 used to be included in Fedora but the package was dropped as the timing didn't match up between Fedora dropping Python 2 support and Exaile's support for Python 3.  If there's no objection here, I'll see if I can submit the package for review.   I made an RPM locally a while back and have been running version 4.1.1 from my RPM for a while.

Regards,

Graham

That would be great, thanks!

I've started the process.  Progress will be tracked at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1980282

I have submitted 3 pull requests to correct small issues found during the Fedora packaging review process:
  1. https://github.com/exaile/exaile/pull/759
  2. https://github.com/exaile/exaile/pull/760
  3. https://github.com/exaile/exaile/pull/761
The first of these is a requirement of the fedora packaging guidelines.  I can clearly fix this during the packaging process but it seems like a sensible thing to add upstream anyway.
The second two are fixes for small issues picked up by the rpmlint command.

Would be cool if these could find their way into 4.1.2 and above if someone has time to take a quick peek and merge?

Thanks,

Graham
