Hi All,

I am running EVidenceModeler via Maker, on a Vertebrate genome. It looks like each EVM process is taking approximately 12Gb of RAM, each. Does this seem reasonable? When you have many processes running simultaneously, this adds up to considerable RAM use..

If this seems typical, what are strategies to reduce RAM use?

Thanks, Matt

Hi Matt,

Do you know if it's partitioning the target data?  It usually splits things up into smaller segments and runs on the segments separately.    12G RAM sounds excessive.
