that Richard Feynman derived Einstein's Field Equations from Quantum Field Theory.


If Feynman really did that, wouldn't it be tantamount to a quantum theory of gravitation? AG

See “Feynman’s Lectures on Gravitation” and the foreword by Thorne and Preskill. Feynman derived a quantum field theory of gravity with Einstein’s field equations, but most experts consider it valid only from weak fields. An exception is Frank Tipler who considers it a fully valid theory of quantum gravity.

Thanks. I tried to peek inside on Amazon, but wasn't able to. Today I'll look for a copy to download for free. It's puzzling. I wonder how he reconciled a quantum theory with a deterministic one, and came up with something intelligible. AG

According to Wiki, Feynman did the opposite; he used quantum field theory to reproduce EFE's. AG

Further, according to an expert I consult with, in order to get the Q out of Quantum, Feynman had to converge h to zero, which means that WIki overstates what Feynman did. AG
