Being a Cosmospanpsychist of sorts, I suspect now that in part, the astronomers and physicists are discovering more and more that the Standard Model of old, isn't cutting the mustard, anymore. The Universe as a mind is showing us new stuff, because we may have been 'initiated,' to build things that build things, to assist the Universe to change itself. Extending itself. If true, and I could be wrong, that's not a bad project to work on-eventually.
