Tesla announced yesterday that it is going to do undergo a significant expansion of its locations of Supercharger stations very quickly, almost doubling the sites by the end of this year. Also it plans to increase the total number of charging bays at each location. Read about it here: https://www.tesla.com/blog/charging-our-priority
It also published a new "coming soon" map that shows two new locations in Ventura County: downtown Oxnard (near the Transportation Center) and Thousand Oaks (near Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Skyline Drive) off the Hampshire exit of the 101.  It also announced new coming soon Supercharger sites of the south of the 101 in Calabasas, and southwest of both the 405 and 118 (Northridge); and also southwest of the 101 and 405 (Sherman Oaks) and east of the 126/5 split in Santa Clarita.
Nothing on the 126 east-west corridor through Ventura County and nothing on the 118 in Ventura County.
Here is the url of the "coming soon map"; the gray icons are future locations. You can zoom in or out using the +/- tools. https://www.tesla.com/findus#/bounds/49.38,-66.94,25.82,-124.39,d?search=supercharger&name=us
I have also attached a screenshot of the zoomed in locations of the two new Ventura County locations.

There need to be a Supercharger installation in Fillmore/Santa Paula. The 126 highway between Santa Clarita and Ventura needs to be addressed!

Interesting you should mention this. The Ventura County Air Pollution Control District Clean Air Fund Committee is having a public meeting on Thursday May 18th (see attached agenda) that includes a proposal to put a Level 3 DC Quick charging station on SR-126. Please come to give your thoughts during the public testimony.  I am a voting member of this Committee.
Tesla owners would use the ChAdeMo adaptor.
Agenda item VI, 1 (New Business) currently has for the same allocation of money choices for our Committee to fund a Level 3 DC Charger on SR-126, add more money to our existing EV/PHEV rebate program or use the money to convert users of diesel-powered leaf-blowers to electric leaf blowers.
I have asked the staff to find a more centered site along SR-126 between SR 118 and I-5, like Fillmore. Staff is currently proposing a site off of Briggs Road, too far west.

Yes, Briggs would be way too far west, lol.  I can easily make it from Camarillo to Valencia round trip in the i3 anyways. They really need chargers at the base of the Grapevine for those travelling over the pass with too low of a charge to make it to the top. Fort Tejon and Castaic perhaps. Right now it takes a trip into Valencia to quick charge to make it over the Grapevine to Bakersfield. The 99 is the only route to the Bay Area with charging. The 101 and I5 need extensive charging network installations.

Thanks James, I have put the date in my calendar.

Can the money be used to purchase land for a Tesla paid for SC installation? There are many empty lots on the 126 and in downtown Fillmore and I know Tesla has been asked to put in J1772 chargers next to their SC spots in the past.

I was telling Ron that there is a Fillmore city parking lot with a posted EV Charging Station sign. Apparently it was location of 2 Avcon connectors long ago. Not even a pole tin the spot but there a large electrical box of some type there. This would be a good site for 4 new Level 2 chargers at the very least.

be electric,

eric
