Automatic Link of Project to Cost Center?

Is there a way to create a project and have a cost center automatically created for the project?  Hopefully with would have the same name?

We create 500 projects per year and would like to have the function whereby there is an automation/linking of this function.

It appears that someone already made this request 8 months ago.  Is there any plan to add this feature?  If so, is there a timeline?

Hello Jeremy,

We are currently working on version 4 of ERPNext.

We pick features for development from Github Issues based on two criteria. Availability of resource at our end. And no. of users asking for that feature.

A way to raise priority for specific feature development is to offer a bounty for it. Also, a document elaborating your requirement will help us gauge resource requirement.
