Exploded BOM to total quantities of repeated items - Feature Request

Hi,

When an item's BOM consists of 2 or more sub BOMs sometimes raw materials are repeated in the sub BOMs and the main BOM.

When this happens the exploded BOM lists the repeated raw material as many times as it repeats with the associated quantity.

It would be great if the repeated raw material in the exploded BOM was able to total the quantities in all the BOMs and give a single amount in the exploded BOM.

It would help the ordering process and the making of purchase orders.

We have updated bom exploded items table grouped by items i.e. no more repeated rows for same item. Also have rebuilt the table for all BOMs.

Is it possible to specify that one of the sub BOM's isn't exploded? I have one item which we do manufacture, but it is a huge cycle ... 2 or 3 years. So for the most part it is treated as a raw material because when we order our more frequent products, it wants us to get the materials we would only need every two or three years.

The feature is not available right now. But seems like it can be a generic requirement. Can you add it in github issue list http://github.com/frappe/erpnext/issues.
