Hi,

Is there a more faster way to look at the updated trial balance because in my account the Trial Balance takes around 4 mins to load and that is way too much for a 2Mbps connection with just one computer.

I would be really obliged if some one could let me know a much faster method since every time I make a major change then I have to again refresh the report which again takes like 4mins since I guess the report is unable to take the account tree changes and cancelling of JV.

I am sure this could not be the best way to show a great trial balance report.

Hi, Addy!

I dont know how your balance sheet structure, but one idea would be to organize data in hierarchical form, and only get a small group of information at a time, as the hierarchy of product groups.

Another way is browsing and / or to cache the results, you can create a cache in both the browser and the server, so that every request is obtained just a product of the difference of what already exists in the cache.

I know that sounds very technical, but it is quite simple to implement, and significantly improves the performance in such cases.

A final alternative would be the consolidation of views, between analytic and synthetic, to also get small groups of information one at a time, but in the latter case would require a redesign of the report itself.

Hi Maxwell,

Thanks for the suggestion, but honestly since I am not a developer I did not understand a single bit of what you said, my knowledge in software field is extremely limited.

What I am hoping for is that the trial balance should not load all the data since it becomes too slow if the data available is too large, similar to what happened with the General Ledger report which used to take ages to load but now it is extremely fast since the report does not load previous data.

I have raised this topic just to highlight this fact and if the developers would agree then I would raise a github issue for the same, since I don't know if the trial balance can really work without the loading of data.
