Is it possible to have negative stock with ERPNext?

Yes. You can allow negative stock balance from:

Stock >> Stock Setting

Check field "Allow Negative Stock".

In near future, this feature will be disabled if Perpetual Inventory valuation system is activated.

Shocked!!!! What does this mean?? Negative stock will disappear all together, or it will not be allowed if  Perpetual Inventory valuation system is activated????

Negative stock will not be allowed if perpetual inventory is activated. Because as there are no stock available, we do know the cost of items to book expense automatically at the time of delivery.
