Tax table for Item, checkbox: "Is this Tax included in Basic Rate?", what's the difference if checked or not, can you give a simple case? say net total is 1000, rate is 10, if checked...

If rate is 10% on net total of 1000/- and the tax is included in basic rate then the actual pricing would be like this:

Selling price = 1000/1.1 = 909.09090909.... (depending upon the currency precision)
Tax would be = 1000/1.1 * 0.1 = 90.090909...  (depending upon the currency precision)

Total would be 1000/-

But without inclusion the

SP = 1000/-
Tax = 100/-
Total would be 1100/-

I hope I am right.

understand now, that's mean net total already contains tax value.

in real scenario, why would add this kind of tax into tax table(as it will be 0)? is this just to show the complete tax included?

Thanks,

Tax table is used to back-calculate the tax exclusive price which is used for accounting.

for Addy's case,

If rate is 10% on net total of 1000/- and the tax is included in basic rate then the actual pricing would be like this:

Selling price = 1000/1.1 = 909.09090909.... (depending upon the currency precision)
Tax would be = 1000/1.1 * 0.1 = 90.090909...  (depending upon the currency precision)

in tax table, if check that checkbox, is that need to calculate to 90.090909(depending upon the currency precision),?
