Item's "End of life", what does this mean? is that when it is will not be valid, say food, cooked at 2014.09.19, 2 days valid, then 2014.09.21 is end of life?

Item will not be selectable in transaction post End of Life date specified in it. This is mainly to disable item after certain date when you stop dealing in it.
