how to set permission level for sales users to limit access to customer

Hi want to be able to set up some permissions somehow so that our low level sales guys can only access customer accounts that are in some way assigned to them (and also only see report data related to the same)

Does anyone know how this might be achieved?

go to Setup / User Permissions and add specific Customers against Users.
