Add icon to icon bar/ Expose icon bar on js ?

Is there any way to add a new icon button on icon_bar ?

For toolbar, there is frappe.ui.toolbar.add_dropdown_button.

For Actions, there is cur_frm.add_custom_button

But there is nothing for icon bar ? I need to add some button with multiple selection on List. 

So iconbar button is the most suitable.

sorry the api is not too clean here, because we have been moving things around too much :)
