Hi,

My name's David and I am the cochair of the OpenID AuthZEN Working Group. The goal of the WG is to standardize authorization interactions between a PEP (policy enforcement point) and a PDP (policy decision point). We're at a stage where we have an implementer's draft you can all check out.

As part of the standardization work, we've been holding interop events at various conferences (Identiverse, European Identity Conference, Gartner IAM). The next one is next week in London.

The next interop event is interesting because it brings API gateways into the mix. And that includes Envoy. For more information on the interop, check out the interop website. One of our members successfully implemented AuthZEN on top of Envoy (see results here).

We are putting together an OpenID-branded datasheet for the interop itself that will serve as a handout for attendees. On that datasheet, we've put the logos of those products/projects/companies that are now interoperable with the implementer's draft. This would ideally include the Envoy logo. However, we need consent from the owners of the logo, hence this email.

Does anyone on this list know who I should ask?

Thanks for reading this,
David.
OpenID AuthZEN co-chair.

Hi David, we discussed this among maintainers and think it is ok to use the Envoy logo for your datasheet.
