Serving PHP via FastCGI

Is it possible to serve PHP using FastCGI+php-fpm in a way similar to how nginx does here: https://www.nginx.com/resources/wiki/start/topics/examples/phpfcgi/

Not currently. Jeff Pinner (on CC) was looking at this at some point but I'm not sure where he got with it.
