Mary found a few of these spiders in leaf litter carrying striking blue spheres that I’m guessing are egg sacs.

Have others seen such colorful egg sacs? Any guesses as to type of spider? Wolf, perhaps?

It's a female Wolf Spider with a very fresh egg sac attached to her spinnerets.  The egg sacs are only blue when freshly spun. As time goes on, they fade in color and eventually end up very light blue or more likely light gray or white in color.
