مقال للصحفي السعودي مطلق العنزي:

في الأسبوع الماضي أصبت بحالة شديدة من أعراض تبدو «مزيجاً» من البهجة والحيرة والامتنان والضعف والزهو والفخر.
ولو بحثت في المراجع العلمية لجهابذة علم الاجتماع والنفس وحتى الانثروبولوجيات وأكيولوجياتها، لما وجدت اسماً جامعاً أو توصيفاً دقيقاً لهذا المزيج، لكن لأنني المجرب - والمجرب أفقه من ألف طبيب - فلم أجد إلا أن أسميها «المتلازمة السودانية» (Sudanism).
ففي الأسبوع الماضي، غمرني السودانيون بديم كرمهم الهطال، على موقف أملاه الواجب الأخلاقي مدفوعاً بودي ومشاعري الميالة المنحازة نحو السودانيين، ومعرفتي بهم، فهم كريمو المتحد، ذوو مشاعر لطيفة، ويتمتعون بأكبر مساحة من الاحترام وصفات الأمانة في الوطن العربي.
وهذا أسمى فخر و"إنجاز تاريخي" يطمح الى أن يتمتع به فرد وشعب، كسبه السودانيون بجدارة واستحقوا «دروعاً» و«كؤوساً ماسية» من مهج ومشاعر وخلجات قلوب، والدليل هو ذاك الشعور الذي يختلج في مهجنا وأذهاننا.
فعلى الرغم أنه لا يمكن أن يكون كل سكان الخرطوم وكل السودانيين ملائكة لا ينطفون عن هوى، لو قيل لي أن عربياً قد فاز بجائزة الأمانة بين عشرين من العرب مختلفي الجنسية، فأرجح - والذهنية العربية أيضاً ترجح - أن يكون سودانياً.
ولو قيل: إن عربياً قد فاز بجائزة التهذيب بين عشرين من العرب، فالأرجح أن يكون سودانياً، ولو قيل: إن عربياً قد فاز بجائزة نظافة اللسان بين عشرين من العرب، فالأرجح أن يكون سودانياً، ولو قيل: إن عربياً قد فاز بجائزة الوفاء بين عشرين من العرب، فالأرجح أن يكون سودانياً.
والمواقف الشاهدة للصفات الرفيعة المترفعة للسودانيين كثيرة، هاك إحداها: شركة سعودية كانت تحتاج إلى مترجم وبطبيعة عمله سيطلع على أسرار علاقاتها التجارية مع منافسين وتوريداتها وتصديراتهم ورسائلها، ولا بد أن يتمتع بأمانة شديدة، بحث مديرو الشركة عن مترجم، لكنهم اجتهدوا أكثر في البحث عن مترجم «سوداني» وانتظروا إلى أن جاءهم «المخلص».
وهذه أخرى: كثيرون من المرضى في المستشفيات «يتزاحمون» على عيادات الأطباء السودانيين بالذات، لأنهم يتوسمون أن السوداني - بصفة عامة - شجاع في مقاومة غرور النفس، ولا يجرؤ على ارتكاب اجتهادات مغامرة خطيرة فيما يجهل.
وهذه ثالثة: شاهدت سودانيين كثيرين يعاتبون سودانيين آخرين يتجاوزون في نقدهم أو يستخدمون كلمات جارحة بحق مسيئين للسودان.
ولكل ذلك ندرك لماذا يبحث علية القوم عن مرافقين وطباخين وسائقين من السودان، لأن السودانيين أكثر مقاومة لاغراءات النفس، وأقل جرأة على الانخراط في المؤامرات والخيانة، وأكثر الناس حفظاً للأمانة والأسرار، وأكثر الناس حفاظاً للود ونظافة اللسان والملبس.
وبعد كل هذا وقصص كثيرة تروى عن السودانيين النشامى ومشاعرهم اللطيفة لن يكون لي أي فضل أو منة الدفاع عنهم.
وقد طوق السودانيون عنقي برسائل ومداخلات تحمل حلاوة وعليها طلاوة، وكتبت لهم محنياً الرأس لهذا الكرم الهطال: «كم أنا مدين لكم بجميل لا يقاس ولا يقدر ولا يوزن ولا يكال. فقد غمرتموني بحبكم وكرمكم، وهذا دين ثقيل...»، وهو دين ثقيل ولا ريب.

اسقني يا شادي الماء..
من سلاف النيلين..
إذ يتواعد الخالدان ووادي الماء المهيب..
من مهج الفلاحين وأزهار حقول الدمازين..
ومن مهوى أفئدة السرى في إمبادر..
إلى شموس حلفا وأناشيد حداة القوافل..
بيني وبينهم وصل من الحب وأقمار تغدق ضياءها.

Yes Hisham, it is positive, and truly uplifting, but from an outsider as you said ,,, How much I wish that the  situation from the inside is as positive and as uplifting !!! BUT I have to say, with great regrett,, IT IS NOT and it has not as rosey for sometime. The real irony is this fasćade we portay about ourselves to others 'ousiders' yet fail to live up to it at home, and fail abysmally.
We all know the extent of corruption, deceitfullness and deception that has crept in and invaded the Sudanese conscentious personality that was part of our character in years gone by,,, but is no where to be found, neither amongst our rulers, nor among those in the civil service, police, the army, the judiciary, and worst of all, us who deserted the country, or our colleagues, the physicians and surgeons who stayed behing, but have turned their clinics and private hospitals into butcheries where patients as well as our medical honour and ethics are being slaughtered day in and day out... We certainly are no longer the people we used to be,, corruption of souls and the decay of the old upheld principles has started in 1989, and from the top. Now it has reached the very bottom, and God alone knows where, when and how it will all end. All we can afford is pray from a distance and hope something, even if just  little is left that could be invesed in when regime change comes, when and how? Is the 64 thousand dollar question...

Some of us think we are not good as a nation. We are very good and let us let the others other nation to continue praising us as a good nation. We should not ruin what people think of us by hanging our dirty clothes to dry in the open. اذا بليتم فاستترو

Forget the Dollars! We know the reason for our pitiful situation and you have expressed that elequently. But we also know what needs to be done. We really need to remove the failed regime It is about time, and we all know how. We need to think positive, be determined and mean it. Join like minded people. Think Burkina Faso or else shame on us!

ﻭﻗﺎﻝ ﺇﻧﻜﻢ ﻟﻦ ﺗﺼﺪﻗﻮﺍ ﻟﻮ ﻗﻠﺖ ﻟﻜﻢ ﺇﻥ ﻋﺪﺩ ﺍﻻﻃﻔﺎﻝ ﺩﻭﻥ ﺍﻟﺴﻨﺔ ﺍﻟﺬﻳﻦ ﺗﻢ ﺍﻻﻋﺘﺪﺍﺀ ﻋﻠﻴﻬﻢ ﻓﻲ 3 ﺳﻨﻮﺍﺕ ﺃﻛﺜﺮ ﻣﻦ ﻣﺎﺋﺔ ﻃﻔﻞ ﻭﻓﻘﺎ ﻟﺘﻘﺮﻳﺮ ﺭﺳﻤﻲ .
ﻭﺇﻥ ﻫﻨﺎﻙ 2293 ﺣﺎﻟﺔ ﺍﻋﺘﺪﺍﺀ ﺟﻨﺴﻲ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻷﻃﻔﺎﻝ ﺩﺍﺧﻞ ﻭﻻﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﺨﺮﻃﻮﻡ ﺑﺤﺴﺐ ﺇﺣﺼﺎﺋﻴﺎﺕ ﺷﺮﻃﺔ ﺣﻤﺎﻳﺔ ﺍﻻﺳﺮﺓ ﻭﺍﻟﻄﻔﻞ، ﻭﺇﻥ ﻋﺪﺩ ﺍﻟﺒﻼﻏﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﺗﺤﻤﻠﻬﺎ ﻭﻛﻴﻠﺔ ﻧﻴﺎﺑﺔ ﺷﺮﻕ ﺍﻟﻨﻴﻞ ﻳﻮﻣﻴﺎ ﺗﺘﺮﺍﻭﺡ ﺑﻴﻦ 8-10 ﺑﻼﻏﺎﺕ . ﻭﺇﻥ ﻫﻨﺎﻙ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻤﺘﻮﺳﻂ ﺣﻮﺍﻟﻲ 30 ﺑﻼﻍ ﻳﻮﻣﻴﺎً ﻓﻲ ﻭﻻﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﺨﺮﻃﻮﻡ، ﺃﻱ ﺃﻧﻪ
ﻋﻠﻰ ﻣﺪﺍﺭ ﻛﻞ ﺳﺎﻋﺔ ﻳﺘﻢ ﺍﻟﺘﺤﺮﺵ ﺍﻭ ﺍﻻﻏﺘﺼﺎﺏ ﺃﻛﺜﺮ ﻣﻦ ﻃﻔﻞ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻃﻔﺎﻟﻨﺎ . ﻭﺃﺿﺎﻑ ﺑﻤﺮﺍﺭﺓ : ﻫﺬﺍ ﻣﺜﻴﺮ ﻟﻠﺪﻫﺸﺔ ﻭﺍﻟﺘﻌﺠﺐ 
ﻣﺎﺫﺍ ﺍﺻﺎﺑﻨﺎ ﻭﻧﺤﻦ ﻣﺠﺘﻤﻊ ﻣﻌﺮﻭﻑ ﺑﺎﻻﺧﻼﻕ ﺍﻟﺤﻤﻴﺪﺓ؟
ﻭﺗﻌﺮﺽ ﻋﺜﻤﺎﻥ ﻟﺤﻮﺍﺩﺙ ﺍﻏﺘﺼﺎﺏ ﻓﻈﻴﻌﺔ ﺑﺪﺀﺍ ﺑﻤﺮﺍﻡ ﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﺍﻏﺘﺼﺒﻮﻫﺎ ﺟﻤﺎﻋﻴﺎ ﻭﺍﻏﺘﺎﻟﻮﻫﺎ ﻭﺭﻣﻮﻫﺎ ﻓﻲ ﺑﺌﺮ ﺍﻟﺴﺒﺘﻚ ﺗﺎﻧﻚ،
ﻭﺷﻴﻤﺎﺀ ﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﺍﻏﺘﺼﺒﻮﻫﺎ ﻭﺭﻣﻮﺍ ﺟﺜﺘﻬﺎ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺒﺤﺮ، ﻭﻋﺰﺍﻟﺪﻳﻦ ﺍﻟﺬﻱ ﺍﻏﺘﺼﺒﻮﻩ ﻭﺩﻓﻨﻮﻩ ﺩﺍﺧﻞ ﺑﻴﺘﻪ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺮﻣﻠﺔ،
 ﻭﺣﺎﺩﺛﺔ ﺍﻻﻏﺘﺼﺎﺏ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺼﺎﻟﺤﺔ، ﻭﻗﺎﻝ، ﺍﻷﺩﻫﻰ ﻭﺍﻷﻣﺮ ﺣﻮﺍﺩﺙ ﺍﻻﻏﺘﺼﺎﺏ ﺑﻴﺪ ﺍﻟﻤﻌﻠﻤﻴﻦ .
ﻛﻨﺎ ﻧﻨﺸﺪ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻤﺎﺿﻲ : ﻗﻢ ﻟﻠﻤﻌﻠﻢ ﻭﻓﻪ ﺍﻟﺘﺒﺠﻴﻼ ﻛﺎﺩ ﺍﻟﻤﻌﻠﻢ ﺍﻥ ﻳﻜﻮﻥ ﺭﺳﻮﻻ، ﺍﻻﻥ ﻧﺮﻯ ﻣﻌﻠﻢ ‏( ﻣﺎﻳﻮ ‏) ﺍﻟﺬﻱ ﺍﻏﺘﺼﺐ ﺗﻠﻤﻴﺬﺗﻪ ﻳﻮﻡ ﺍﻟﺠﻤﻌﺔ،
ﻻﻗﺘﻪ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺸﺎﺭﻉ ﻭﺳﺎﻟﺘﻪ ﺑﻜﻞ ﺑﺮﺍﺀﺓ : ﻳﺎ ﺃﺳﺘﺎﺫ ﺟﺒﺖ ﻛﻢ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻣﺘﺤﺎﻥ ﺍﻟﺘﺮﺑﻴﺔ ﺍﻻﺳﻼﻣﻴﺔ؟ ﻓﺎﺳﺘﺪﺭﺟﻬﺎ ﻭﻗﺎﻝ ﻟﻬﺎ ﻫﻴﺎ ﺑﻨﺎ ﻟﻠﻤﺪﺭﺳﺔ ﻷﺭﻳﻚ ﺍﻟﻨﺘﻴﺠﺔ، ﻭﺍﻏﺘﺼﺒﻬﺎ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻤﺪﺭﺳﺔ، ﻫﺬﻩ ﺍﻟﺤﺎﺩﺛﺔ
ﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﺍﺑﻜﺖ ﺍﻟﻘﺎﺿﻲ ﻭﺍﻟﺤﻀﻮﺭ ﻭﺃﺻﺪﺭ ﺍﻟﻘﺎﺿﻲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﺣﻜﻢ ﺍﻻﻋﺪﺍﻡ .
ﺑﺘﻨﺎ ﻛﻞ ﻳﻮﻡ ﻧﺴﻤﻊ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺼﺤﻒ ﺣﺎﺩﺛﺔ ﺍﻏﺘﺼﺎﺏ ﺍﻏﺮﺏ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﺨﻴﺎﻝ . ﻣﺪﻳﺮ ﻣﺪﺭﺳﺔ ﻳﻐﺘﺼﺐ ﺧﻤﺴﻴﻦ ﻃﺎﻟﺐ، ﺍﺳﺘﺎﺫ ﻳﻐﺘﺼﺐ 26 ﻃﺎﻟﺐ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻤﺪﺭﺳﺔ ﻫﺬﺍ ﻳﻔﺘﺮﺽ ﺃﻥ ﻳﻨﻜﺲ ﻋﻠﻢ ﺍﻟﺴﻮﺩﺍﻥ،
ﻭﺍﻻﺑﺸﻊ ﺷﻴﺦ ﺍﻟﺨﻠﻮﺓ ﻛﻢ ﻭﺍﺣﺪ ﻣﻨﻬﻢ ﺍﻏﺘﺼﺐ ﺍﻻﻃﻔﺎﻝ؟ ﺍﻷﻣﺎﻛﻦ ﺍﻵﻣﻨﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺴﻮﺩﺍﻥ ﺃﺻﺒﺤﺖ ﻏﻴﺮ ﺁﻣﻨﺔ . 
ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺒﺎﻗﻴﺮ ﻫﻨﺎﻙ ﺷﻴﺦ ﺧﻠﻮﺓ ﺍﻏﺘﺼﺐ ﺍﻛﺜﺮ ﻣﻦ 50 ﻃﺎﻟﺒﺔ !
ﻫﻨﺎﻙ ﺛﻼﺙ ﻣﺤﺎﻛﻢ ﻟﻠﻄﻔﻞ ﻓﻲ ﻭﻻﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﺨﺮﻃﻮﻡ ﻓﻲ ﺑﺤﺮﻱ ﻭﺍﻡ ﺩﺭﻣﺎﻥ ﻭﺍﻟﺨﺮﻃﻮﻡ، ﻣﺤﻜﻤﺔ ﺍﻟﻄﻔﻞ ﻛﻞ ﻣﻨﻬﺎ ﺗﻨﻈﺮ ﻓﻲ 15-10 ﺑﻼﻏﺎﺕ ﻳﻮﻣﻴﺎ ﻭﻛﻠﻬﺎ ﺍﻏﺘﺼﺎﺑﺎﺕ؟ ﻭﺗﺴﺎﺀﻝ ﻋﺜﻤﺎﻥ ﻏﺎﺿﺒﺎ : ﻣﺎﺫﺍ
ﺣﺼﻞ؟ ﻫﻨﺎﻙ ﺳﻮﺱ ﻳﻨﺨﺮ ﻓﻲ ﺟﺴﺪ ﺍﻻﻣﺔ ﺍﻟﺴﻮﺩﺍﻧﻴﺔ !
ﺛﻢ ﺍﻧﺘﻘﺪ ﺍﻟﺴﻠﻢ ﺍﻟﺘﻌﻠﻴﻤﻲ ﻣﺤﻤﻼ ﺇﻳﺎﻩ ﺟﺎﻧﺒﺎ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﻤﺴﺌﻮﻟﻴﺔ ﻭﻗﺎﻝ :
ﻻﻳﻌﻘﻞ ﺃﻥ ﺍﻟﺨﻮﺍﺟﺎﺕ ﻋﻤﻠﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﺴﻠﻢ 4-4-4 ، ﻭﻓﻲ ﻣﺎﻳﻮ 3-3-6 ﻭﺍﻻﻥ ﻳﺮﻳﺪﻭﻥ ﺃﻥ ﻳﺠﻌﻠﻮﻫﺎ 3-9 .
ﻫﻞ ﻳﻌﻘﻞ ﺍﻧﺴﺎﻥ ﻣﺮﺍﻫﻖ 16 ﺳﻨﺔ ﻳﻜﻮﻥ ﻣﻊ ﻃﻔﻞ ﻳﺎﻓﻊ ﻋﻤﺮﻩ 6 ﺳﻨﻮﺍﺕ ﻫﺬﻩ ﻻ ﺗﺤﺼﻞ ﺍﻻ ﻫﻨﺎ . ﺩﺍﻋﻴﺎ ﺃﻥ ﻳﻘﻒ ﺍﻟﺠﻤﻴﻊ ﺿﺪ ﻫﺬﺍ ﺍﻟﺘﻘﺴﻴﻢ ﺍﻟﻤﺰﻣﻊ،
ﻭﻗﺎﻝ ﺇﻥ ﻛﻞ ﺍﻟﺘﺮﺑﻮﻳﻴﻦ ﻗﺎﻟﻮﺍ ﻫﺬﺍ ﺍﻟﻨﻈﺎﻡ ﻏﻠﻂ، ﻭﺗﺤﺪﺙ ﻋﻦ ﺃﺳﺘﺎﺫﺓ ﺿﺒﻄﺖ 26 ﻃﺎﻟﺒﺎ ﻳﻤﺎﺭﺳﻮﻥ ﺍﻟﻔﺎﺣﺸﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻤﺪﺭﺳﺔ ﻋﺎﺯﻳﺎً ﺫﻟﻚ ﻟﻠﺘﻔﺎﻭﺕ ﺍﻟﻜﺒﻴﺮ ﺑﻴﻦ ﺳﻦ ﺍﻟﺘﻼﻣﻴﺬ .
ﻛﻤﺎ ﺗﺤﺪﺙ ﻋﺜﻤﺎﻥ ﻋﻦ ﺿﺮﻭﺭﺓ ﺍﻟﺠﻬﺮ ﺑﻬﺬﻩ ﺍﻟﺤﻘﺎﺋﻖ ﻭﻗﺎﻝ : ﺣﻴﻨﻤﺎ ﻧﺘﺤﺪﺙ ﻳﻘﺎﻝ ﻟﻨﺎ ﻻ ﺗﺘﻜﻠﻢ ﻭﺗﻬﺪﺩ ﺍﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﻤﺠﺘﻤﻊ، ﻭﺍﻟﺤﻘﻴﻘﺔ ﺇﻧﻨﻲ ﺍﺗﻜﻠﻢ ﻷﻧﻨﻲ ﺃﺭﻳﺪ ﺃﻥ ﺃﻋﺎﻟﺠﻪ، ﻭﻛﻠﻜﻢ ﻓﻲ ﺣﺎﻟﺔ ﺻﻤﺖ ﻻ ﻳﺠﻮﺯ،
ﺍﻟﺴﻮﺩﺍﻥ ﺍﻵﻥ ﺃﻛﺒﺮ ﺩﻭﻟﺔ ﻓﻴﻬﺎ ﺍﻏﺘﺼﺎﺏ ﻟﻸﻃﻔﺎﻝ . ﺛﻢ ﺗﻌﺮﺽ ﻟﺪﻭﺭ ﺍﻷﺳﺮﺓ ﻓﻲ ﺣﻤﺎﻳﺔ ﺃﻃﻔﺎﻟﻬﺎ ﻭﺿﺮﻭﺭﺓ ﺍﻫﺘﻤﺎﻡ ﺍﻷﺳﺮ ﺑﺘﺘﺒﻊ ﺍﻷﺑﻨﺎﺀ ﻭﺍﻟﺒﻨﺎﺕ ﻭﺍﻻﻫﺘﻤﺎﻡ ﺑﻬﻢ ﻭﻗﺎﻝ ‏( ﺍﻟﺪﺍﻳﺮ ﺍﻟﺮﺍﺣﺔ ﻣﺎ ﻳﻠﺪ. ﺍﻛﺘﺮ ﻣﻦ %90 ﻣﻤﻦ ﻳﺤﺼﻞ ﻋﻠﻴﻬﻢ ﺍﻻﻋﺘﺪﺍﺀ ﻳﻌﺎﻧﻮﻥ ﻣﻦ ﺗﻔﻜﻚ ﺍﺳﺮﻱ، ﺃﻭ ﺍﻻﺏ ﻣﺸﻐﻮﻝ ﺑﺎﻟﻮﺍﺗﺴﺎﺏ ﻭﺍﻻﻡ ﺑﺎﻟﻔﻴﺲ، ﺯﻣﻦ ﺍﻻﻃﻔﺎﻝ ﻭﻳﻦ؟ ‏)
ﺛﻢ ﺗﺤﺪﺙ ﻋﻦ ﺍﻻﺟﺮﺍﺀﺍﺕ ﺍﻟﻘﺎﻧﻮﻧﻴﺔ ﺍﻟﻤﻔﺘﺮﺽ ﺍﺗﺒﺎﻋﻬﺎ ﺇﺫﺍ ﻻ ﻗﺪﺭ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﺣﺼﻞ ﺍﻋﺘﺪﺍﺀ . ﻭﻗﺎﻝ ﺇﻧﻪ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺴﺎﺑﻖ ﻟﻢ ﺗﻜﻦ ﻫﺬﻩ ﺍﻷﻣﻮﺭ ﻣﻌﺮﻭﻓﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻘﺎﻧﻮﻥ ﺣﺘﻰ ﺃﻥ ﻣﺤﻜﻤﺔ ﻣﺮﺍﻡ ﻟﻢ ﺗﻜﻦ ﺗﺤﺖ ﻣﺎﺩﺓ
ﺍﻏﺘﺼﺎﺏ ﻃﻔﻠﺔ ﻷﻧﻪ ﻟﻢ ﻳﻜﻦ ﺳﻮﻯ ﺍﻟﻤﺎﺩﺓ 149 ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﻘﺎﻧﻮﻥ ﺍﻟﺠﻨﺎﺋﻲ ﻭﻻ ﺗﺘﺠﺎﻭﺯ ﺍﻟﻌﻘﻮﺑﺔ ﻓﻴﻬﺎ 9 ﺳﻨﻮﺍﺕ ﻭﻛﺎﻥ ﺍﻟﻘﺎﺿﻲ ﻳﺤﻜﻢ ﻟﻠﻤﻐﺘﺼﺐ ﺑﺸﻬﺮ ﺃﻭ ﺷﻬﺮﻳﻦ . ﻭﻟﺬﻟﻚ ﻓﺈﻥ ﺃﻋﻈﻢ ﻫﺪﻳﺔ ﻟﻸﻃﻔﺎﻝ ﻫﻮ ﻗﺎﻧﻮﻥ ﺍﻟﻄﻔﻞ ﻟﺴﻨﺔ 2010 ﻫﻮ ﺍﻋﻈﻢ ﺣﻤﺎﻳﺔ ﺣﻘﻴﻘﻴﺔ ﻟﻸﻃﻔﺎﻝ،
ﻧﻨﺎﺷﺪ ﺑﺘﻄﺒﻴﻘﻪ ﺗﻄﺒﻴﻘﺎ ﺳﻠﻴﻤﺎ، ﻓﻔﻴﻪ ﻣﺎﺩﺓ ﺗﻌﻄﻲ ﺍﻟﻤﻮﺍﻃﻦ ﺍﻟﻌﺎﺩﻱ ﺣﻖ ﺃﻥ ﻳﺘﺪﺧﻞ ﻟﺘﺮﺑﻴﺔ ﺍﻻﺳﺮﺓ ﺑﺸﻜﻞ ﺳﻠﻴﻢ . ﻭﻣﻤﻜﻦ ﻳﺴﺘﺪﻋﻲ ﺍﻟﺸﺮﻃﺔ ﻭﻳﻘﻮﻝ ﺇﻥ ﺍﻷﺳﺮﺓ ﺃﻭ ﺍﻻﻡ ﺗﻬﻤﻞ ﺍﻃﻔﺎﻟﻬﺎ . ﻣﺜﻠﻤﺎ ﻫﻮ ﻣﻮﺟﻮﺩ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻨﻈﻢ ﺍﻟﻐﺮﺑﻴﺔ .
ﻭﻗﺎﻝ ﻋﺜﻤﺎﻥ ﺇﻧﻪ ﻻ ﻳﻌﻘﻞ ﺃﻥ ﺗﺤﺪﺙ ﻫﺬﻩ ﺍﻻﻋﺘﺪﺍﺀﺍﺕ ﺍﻟﻜﺜﻴﻔﺔ ﻟﻸﻃﻔﺎﻝ ﻭ ‏( ﻧﺤﻦ ﻧﺎﺱ ﺍﻟﻤﺸﺮﻭﻉ ﺍﻟﺤﻀﺎﺭﻱ ﺍﻟﺘﻮﺟﻪ ﺍﻹﺳﻼﻣﻲ ﻭﺭﺑﻂ ﺍﻻﺭﺽ ﺑﻘﻴﻢ ﺍﻟﺴﻤﺎﺀ ‏) .
ﻭﻃﺎﻟﺐ ﺑﻌﺪﻡ ﺍﻟﺘﺴﺘﺮ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻻﻋﺘﺪﺍ ﻭﻗﺎﻝ : ﺇﺫﺍ ﺣﺼﻞ ﺍﻋﺘﺪﺍﺀ ﺍﻭﻝ ﺑﻨﺪ ﺍﺫﺍ ﺑﻠﻐﺖ ﺣﻤﻴﺖ ﻃﻔﻠﻚ ﻭﺍﺫﺍ ﺳﻜﺖ ﺣﻤﻴﺖ ﺍﻟﺠﺎﻧﻲ . ﻫﺬﺍ ﻗﻀﺎﺀ ﻭﻗﺪﺭ ﻭﻻ ﺣﻮﻝ ﻭﻻ ﻗﻮﺓ ﺍﻻ ﺑﺎﻟﻠﻪ ﻭﻳﺠﺐ ﺃﻥ ﺁﺧﺬ ﺣﻘﻲ، ﻭﺍﻟﻮﺻﻤﺔ ﻳﻨﺒﻐﻲ ﺃﻥ ﺗﺮﻓﻊ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﻤﺠﻨﻲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻟﻠﺠﺎﻧﻲ، ﺍﻟﺠﺎﻧﻲ ﺷﺨﺺ ﺭﺍﺷﺪ ﻛﻴﻒ ﻳﻤﺎﺭﺱ ﻓﺎﺣﺸﺔ ﺿﺪ ﻃﻔﻞ ﻳﺎﻧﻊ ﺑﻜﻞ ﺳﻬﻮﻟﺔ ﻭﻳﺴﺮ؟ ﺍﻟﻄﻔﻞ ﺍﻟﻀﺤﻴﺔ ﻳﻨﺒﻐﻲ ﺃﻥ ﻳﺤﺎﻝ ﻟﻤﺮﻛﺰ ﺣﻤﺎﻳﺔ ﺍﻻﺳﺮﺓ ﻭﺍﻟﻄﻔﻞ، ﻳﻌﻄﻴﻚ ﺍﻭﺭﻧﻴﻚ 8 ﺗﻤﺸﻲ ﺍﻟﻤﺴﺘﺸﻔﻰ ﻭﻳﻌﻄﻮﻧﻚ ﺗﻘﺮﻳﺮ ﺛﻢ ﻳﺮﻓﻊ ﺑﻼﻍ
ﺗﺤﺖ ﺍﻟﻤﺎﺩﺓ -45ﺏ ﻭﺑﻬﺬﻩ ﺍﻟﻤﺎﺩﺓ ﻳﺘﻢ ﺍﻟﻘﺒﺾ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻤﻌﺘﺪﻱ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﻻ ﻳﻤﻜﻦ ﺧﺮﻭﺟﻪ ﺑﺎﻟﻀﻤﺎﻧﺔ ﻓﻌﻘﻮﺑﺘﻪ ﺍﻣﺎ ﺍﻻﻋﺪﺍﻡ ﺍﻭ 25 ﺳﻨﺔ . ﻳﺴﻤﻊ ﺍﻟﻤﺘﺤﺮﻱ ﻛﻼﻡ ﺍﻟﻄﻔﻞ ﻭﺍﻻﺏ ﺍﻭ ﺍﻻﻡ، ﻭﻋﻠﻴﻬﻢ ﺍﻥ ﻳﺪﻋﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﻄﻔﻞ ﻳﻘﻮﻝ ﻛﻼﻣﻪ ﺍﻟﻌﺎﺩﻱ ﺛﻢ ﻳﺎﺗﻲ ﺍﻟﻄﻔﻞ ﻣﻊ ﺍﻟﺒﺎﺣﺚ ﺍﻻﺟﺘﻤﺎﻋﻲ ﻟﻠﻤﺤﻜﻤﺔ ﻭﻳﻘﻮﻝ ﻛﻼﻣﻪ، ﻭﺍﻟﻘﺎﺿﻲ ﻳﺼﺪﺭ ﺍﻟﺤﻜﻢ ﻓﻮﺭﺍ.
ﻳﺤﻜﻢ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﺑﺎﻻﻋﺪﺍﻡ ﺷﻨﻘﺎ ﺣﺘﻰ ﺍﻟﻤﻮﺕ، ﺃﻭ ﺑﺴﺠﻦ ﻣﺆﺑﺪ .
ﻭﺗﺴﺎﺀﻝ ﺍﻟﻤﺤﺎﻣﻲ : ﻫﻞ ﻋﻘﻮﺑﺔ ﺍﻻﻋﺪﺍﻡ ﻗﻠﻠﺖ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﺠﺮﻳﻤﺔ ﻭﻫﻲ ﺍﻗﺼﻰ ﻋﻘﻮﺑﺔ؟
 ﺛﻢ ﺃﺟﺎﺏ ﻗﺎﺋﻼ : ﻟﻢ ﺗﻘﻠﻞ ﺍﻟﻌﻘﻮﺑﺔ ﺍﻟﻘﺼﻮﻯ ﻫﺬﻩ

Unfortunately, and I have to say with deep regrett Osman,,  we have become as corrupt and bankrupt as a nation could become,, I am not writing this in a foreign journal, or announcing it to a foreibn audience, so there is no question of dirty wash being hanged on the balcony for all to see,,,I am rather saying it, and writing it to ourselves, the ones assumed to be the elites who are supposed to spearhead change... But what are we doing about change,, pontificate, talk, threaten and talk again,, These are the very elites who have failed the country since its Independence, and are continuing to do so to this day.. We were once called The Sick Man of Africa,, there followed glimpses of recovery, but were not to last, and we are now the sickest man of Africa, and one of five failed countries.. Countries where there is no governance, and state corruption has brought the country to the verge of total collaps,,, collapse into and abyss that God alone knows how it could end.. All you need to do, Osman is look around you,, look at corruption, how extensive and rive it has become, not just within the governing elite, but in every institution, office and walk of life,, in the way contracts are allocated, state property sold, commercial dealings, the cheating that takes place on the streets every minute of the day, building contracts, medical practice, briberies,, even the people's very morals and attitudes to corruption and crime,,, unfortunatelely Osman its all ugly, and very ugly... Self deception will get us no where, admission may, at least it could could get us on the right track in identifying when, where, how and why things wnt wrong? And how can we revive that Sudanese personality we were once known for but no longer are, inspite of what others say... No, I don't want to deceive people, leaving them think of us some one we are not, and can't live up to,,, we are what we are, we don't like it! Then change yourselves to what you believe you deserve to be known for and thought of,, and you like,, before others,, and let others be what they like to be.,,, admission is the first step on the way of diagnoseing the sources and causes of our ills, without which there will be no hope for recovery or cure... Let others say what they think of us,, be that what it may,, good or bad,, it matters little,,, it is what we know about ourselves,,, it's what deep inside that we sense, and know that matters, and that alone is what will motivate change,, not living in an imagined idealised self that is in contrast to what we see,, we are a failed country, a failed nation, which failed to sustain two great uprisings after toppling two military regimes,, and is now accepting the third, worst, most corrupt and dictatorial of them all,, for fear of change..

لا احسب يا نهلة ان من يقرأ هذا المقال سيقول ما قاله مطلق العنزي،، أما رأيي الشخصي فهو أن الواجب دراسة حالات ااعتداء من الجانبين، الجاني والمجني عليه،، وهناك نظريات علمية تفسر الاسباب التي تدعو شخص بالغ الي الاعتداء علي طفل،،ووكثيراً ما يكونوالمعتدي نفسه ضحية اعتداء في طفولته، وهو ما نسميه تحول الضحية الي معتدي،، the conversion of the victim to a perpetrator,, لذلك لن يوقف الاعدام الطاهرة،، بل نشر الوعي بين الاطغال والاسر، وتشجيع الطفل علي مصارحة ابويه،، وسؤاله عن يومه الدراسي وهل تحرش به أحد،، ثم نشر الوعي الاخلاقي بين المعلمين،، ولعلني اكتب بتوسع في هذا الموضوع

تحياتي كأمل
اتفق معك في الكثير مما ذكرته و لكن ( كما رأينا هنا) التحرش بالأطفال  جريمة جنائية يعاقب عليها بالقانون و من ثم تتدخل المنظمات الاخرى multi agencies in reforming the perpetrator .
لكن كيف يحدث هذا و بعضها ما زال دافناً رأسه في الرمال ؟
موضوع الاغتصاب و التحرش قديم و لكن ازدادت نسبته بصورة مخيفة خلال ربع القرن الماضي.
نحتاج عمل الخدمات الاجتماعية و النفسية من الان مع هؤلاء الأطفال لمنع تحول الضحايا لمجرمين مستقبلاً  .
توعية الآباء و الأمهات مهم جداً، فترك الأطفال بلا رقابة و مع أقرباء و أي بالغين او  مراهقين هو غلطة كبيرة و الا كيف نفسر ملاقاة هذا المدرس الطفلة وحدها في الشارع؟
اين كان والديها؟

Dear Colleagues,

Clicking on the below link will lead you to a case report I wrote back in 2008 in the Johns Hopkins Alumni Magazine.

I post it here in observance of the international day to prevent violence against women few days ago and it is also posted on Facebook and Linkedin under my name.  It recounts a horrible incident I witnessed in 1987 as a House Officer in the Khartoum Teaching Hospital; a tragic story of gender-based violence which continued throughout the life-cycle of this unfortunate soul. 

Sadly today, in Sudan and elsewhere, the story is a telling example of the different ways in which violence against women and girls is propagated, including by medical professionals.  To me, the incident painfully revealed to me the two faces of our prestigious profession:

A.  On the one hand, is the positive power inherent within each of us when we choose to help in mitigating the social injustices we face in our daily medical practice. In this case, this bright side was shown by the MO in Kosti who referred the case, by Prof. Bashir Arbab, Prof. Ali Kambal, Dr Omar Abboud, Mr Elfadil Elmalik, Dr Elfadil Mohamed Osman  and the constellation of stars in our medical profession whose memory and teachings continue to shine today in Sudan's medical history; may Allah reward those who have passed away and may Allah give more health to those still alive.

B.  On the negative side, the story also shows how much damage each of us can do in our daily practice when we choose to use our incredible power over patients to their own detriment, whether motivated by greed, egotism or out of pure careless negligence.  In countries where the educational and income gradient between physician and patient is so wide, our omissions and commissions against the best interests of the patients assume a much graver dimension than in other countries where patient rights are better legislated, regulated and attained.

The moral of the story to me is that, even as we struggle to improve the overall health situation in Sudan with lofty ideals & political advocacy, we as doctors have a more pressing duty to observe ethics and standards of quality care to which we swore the Hippocrates Oath upon graduation.  Without doing that, on a daily basis and with every single patient, I believe that everything else we say or do at the political level will lack the moral credibility and professional authority. 

To this day, deep feelings of personal guilt constantly overwhelm my conscience.  For I blame myself in hindsight for not doing more as a House Officer in order to hold my supervising Consultant somehow more accountable to his crime. 

I pray that this patient, H.A., the patient's family and Allah, can one day forgive me.

    ما الذي يجعل نظاما لم يقدم لشعبنا سوى.. القتل ....الفقلر....الظلم والتشريد يعيش ويتمدد في تاريخ وواقع شعبنا؟؟
    هل هي ترسانة العنف والبطش التي يقمع بها شعبنا في كل يوم؟؟؟
    هل هي بطانة المفسدين التي تغلغلت في مفاصل إقتصادنا تشتري المواقف والذمم الرخيصه؟
    أم هي هذه الماكينه الإعلاميه التي تبيع الوهم .........تغبش وعي شعبنا ...................تسرق الحقائق تنشر الأباطيل؟
    آم هي أكذوبة الدوله الدينيه وجيوشها من أئمة السلطان وشيوخه ......الذين برعوا في إلباس القدسية و التقى على كل باطل ومفسده وتلطيخ كل شريف وإستولاد الفتاوي لتزيين وجه الانقاذ الكالح؟؟
    أم هي عضويته من سارقي قوت شعبنا...وحارقي البخور......الذين تفننوا في تزييف إرادة شعبنا...تفريق كلمته.....والتلاعب بقادته وإستلاب مواقفهم ببيع السراب وغرس بذور الخلافات؟؟؟؟؟
    لانختلف في كل هذا ودوره في تثبيت دولة الظلم.........................................
    حتما كل هذه العوامل ساهمت في إطالة عمر النظام.......ولكن العامل الحاسم كان وما زال هو
    نحن........ضعفنا نحن.....
    نظاما ليس له أي اساس للحياه والاستمرار....إنتهت أسباب وجوده ........يعيشش على سلبياتنا
    فضعفنا هو الذي أعطى للإنقاذ حياتها....ضعفنا هو شريان الحياه الذي يعيش منه نظام الظلم والفساد
    فنحن أردنا أم لم نرد أصبحنا جزء من ترسانة المؤتمر الوطني نطيل عمره بضعفنا.....أصبحنا نحقق برنامجه وجوده كل يوم
    فأصبحنا كلنا مؤتمر وطني
    ما دمنا نعتبر مسئولية التغيير هي فرض كفايه إذا قام بها البعض سقطت عن الباقين وبالتحديد عن أنفسنا
    كلنا مؤتمر وطني ........................ما دمنا نؤمن بأن لدينا مجموعه نسميها معارضه تقوم بالتغيير بالنيابة عنا ...وعلينا النقد والتحليل وتوزيع الاحلام
    كلنا مؤتمر وطني ......................ما دمنا في مدن العالم حيث لا أمن ولا رصاص في مدن يتراوح أعدادنا بالالاف يخرج بعض عشرات للتظاهر
    كلنا مؤتمر وطني ما دمنا.......................في الشتات نعيش بالملايين نفشل في خلق منظمات المجتمع المدني التي تجمعنا........ندمن الخلافات والتشرذم.......نفشل في دعم التغيير بحفنة من الدولارات تدعم التظاهر ولتدعم أسر المعتقليين والمفصوليين
    كلنا مؤتمر وطني ما دمنا................نتباكى على تجاهلنا وعدم وجودنا في الأعلام الاجنبي في فترات التظاهر والاحتجاجات....وننسى ضرورة أن تكون لنا مؤسسه إعلاميه صحفيه وتلفزيزونيه غير مومسميه يوميا تنشر الوعي تفضح عصابة الظلم
    كلنا مؤتمر وطني ............ما دامت أحزابنا تؤمن إن التغيير يأتي بذكاء قياداتها التاريخيه ومقدرتها الخارقه في التفاوض
    كلنا مؤتمر وطني...........ما دامت حركتنا السياسيه مهمومه بالتوقيع على المواثيق وغير مهمومه بتوصيلها للمواطن وترجمتها لخطة عمل يومي
    كلنا مؤتمر وطني ما دمنا........لم نبذل الجهد المطلوب في تنظيم شعبنا وتحضيره لمواجهة أدوات القمع...........ما دمنا حتى الان فشلنا في إنشاء نقاباتنا الوطنيه.وتحالفاتنا ومنظماتنا بين المواطنيين في الأحياء والقرى
    لن يفيدنا الإحباط........والغضب.......ولا جلد الذات وتعذيب النفس وتجريح النفس....
    ولا الحلم بأن باكر سيكون أفضل إذا لم نتعلم إن الغد سيكون تكرارا لليوم لو لم نتعلم من أخطائنا
    وسنظل ندعم في المؤتمر الوطني إذا لم نتخلص من عباءته التي ألبسها لنا ضعفنا وأحلامنا الورديه الغير مرتبطه بقراءة الواقع ودراسة تجاربنا التي يجب علينا أن نستصحبها لنتجاوز سلبياتنا
    فعلينا اليوم قبل غدا خلع عباءة المؤتمر الوطني لنجلس سويا نقرأ ما جرى ....بلا إحباط وبلا خيال أو أحلام جميله.....بل بكل تجرد وموضوعيه نؤمن على الايجابيات ونرسم طريق المستقبل مستفيدين من أخطائنا لتصبح منارا وهاديا
    لنخلق الوطن الذ نحلم به
    وطن العداله والحريه وسيادة المؤسسات وحقوق الانسان................

هي كل ذلك، التسلط والظلم رالاستبداد، والفساد والافساد، واستعباد العباد،، الفقر والجوع والمرض،، والفصل والتشريد والاعتقال، والتعذيب والتهديد والقتل،، الترسانة الاعلامية التي غسلت العقول وحشتها بالخرف والاساطير،، وكل ذلك هو اكذوبة الدولة الدينية التي ليس لها من الدين سوي شعارات هي عين الكذب والنفاق،، رفعتها لاخفاء الغايات، فلتسقط الاكذوبة وليهب الشعب ليزيح عن وجهه قبح الاسلامويين، وعن صدر السودان عارهم وفضائحهم، (الاخلاقية، قبل الادارية والمالية)  فقد جففوا الضرع وايبسوا الزرع، لعنهم الله ولعنهم اللاعنون، ما من شئ مسته ايديهم النجسة الآثمة الا احالوه خراباً يباب،،   ( ولا حول ولا قوة الا بالله،،

Having at last read your article akram, I have nothing but praise and respect for your professional ethical stance, cosentiosness, empathic regard for a patient you offered him your utmost, you truly did much more than many a trainee would have done, even concerned himself with,, so rest assured... I have alst to commend  the brilliant English in which the article was written, a rare thing in them days from a new graduate, but even now,,, you have nothing to feel guilty about Akram, you certainly did your part, and much more and there was nothing more you could have done to stop an unscrupulous 'BOSS' ,, as Magdi stated, the situation, if anything many fold worse,, and such intuders into the profession have multiplied like worms on a carcass, may God save our country from them, and from the evil that allowed them to grow and multiply unchecked... I remeber well in the late seventies, as house officers, hou we used to worry about what we prescribe to patients, only to relax and rest when we see them at follow up and find out we haven't harmed them,,, I wonder do doctors in Sudan  still worry, think, even remember their patients after their turn their backs to them...??? I am sure there are some, but how many !
