There is not a MIPI CSI-2 rx project for Electric VLSI that I'm aware of.

From a Google search, it looks like MIPI CSI-2 rx has been built into commercial specialized FPGAs by:

It also looks like commercial boards are available with MIPI CSI-2 rx:

It looks like specifications for MIPI CSI-2 are managed by the MIPI alliance - https://www.mipi.org/specifications/csi-2

In addition, I came across a MIPI CSI-2 rx hardware implementation abstract at:

The webpage at

sounds like it is talking about Intellectual Property (IP) for MIPI CSI-2 rx.  If so, it could be that the commercial companies have IP rights for their MIPI CSI-2 rx technology keeping much of the information about it internal (i.e., not released to the general public) and proprietary.  Thus, you might have to sign a non-disclosure agreement with one of those commercial company's in order to obtain more information about it from them.

Hope that helps,

Gavin

Mipi spec + example for Efinix

Efinix example is quite abscurant as it uses IP blackbox which doing all the work for us.

Video pattern generator may be simulated with Icarus Verilog, simulation dir with Makefile attached, use GTKWave (or Surfer) to see the resulted .csv file

Good luck!
