Moving from Ehcache v2.8 to v3.1.1 - Management Service

Hi guys!

I'm new to Ehcache and I'm working in the upgrade of a fully functional application that was developed using Ehcache v2.9.1.

The idea is to upgrade it to the latest version (v3.1.1).

In some part of the code, I've seen that it was using the ManagementService (part of previous Ehcache versions) to register some JMX MBeans.

The thing is that the ManagementService is not present in the v3.1.1 version, so I've been trying to find more information about how to replace it or if there is a new way to register the JMX MBeans, but I couldn't find anything helpful.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Javier,

Ehcache 3.x does not have any MBean integration for now.

One way to get some integration is to move to the JCache API.

Interested in knowing more about your use case and what you need from MBeans registration.
