Adding custom fields in CMS registration page through django application

Hi,
I was able to add custom fields in 'LMS' registration page  through installation of external django application by following http://edx.readthedocs.io/projects/edx-installing-configuring-and-running/en/latest/configuration/customize_registration_page.html

My query is : how can this be extended to 'CMS' registration page? Can we add (the same) custom fields on CMS registration page through (the same) external django application? Any help is much appreciated.
