Is it possible to disable Bookmarks?

The question is as simple as that: can I disable the Bookmarks functionality?

Hi Thieme,

I did a quick scan through the code and can't find a way to disable it. This is unfortunate, as it seems reasonable for folks to want to do this. It also seems that the UI is not resilient to the bookmark service being down.

Here's the PR that added the UI:

If you're comfortable making code changes, a PR to allow bookmarks to be disabled would be excellent.

hi Andy,

thanks! I guessed there probably were some dependencies in the code that would explain the reason why it's not (yet?) a configurable option. It was a question from a client, and I also kind of like to start with a relatively bare-bones course and only add those functionalities that are really necessary. I'm not comfortable making code changes, unfortunately, but will ask the coders if they see time and urgency to look into it.
