Hi All

I have added the configuration item to my site config in the lms admin:

REGISTRATION_EMAIL_PATTERNS_ALLOWED

However it doesn't seem to be applied, as any email address can be used. I have copied it and placed it in the lms.env.json and it works as expected there, however I would like it to be applied differently for different sites.

Other settings such as PLATFORM_NAME are applied successfully.

Any ideas ??

Thanks

Hello Luke,

The answer is quite straightforward: setting REGISTRATION_EMAIL_PATTERNS_ALLOWED is used instance-wide and is not supposed to be configured for different sites. Of course you can fix this behaviour, but registration is instance-wide and such fix won't create any actual restriction (since learner may register at any site of your instance and access the particular site with existing account).

Thanks for the info.

I have been working on other issues and justcoming back to this one.

Do you know where that setting is called ? (SO I can work out how to over ride it)

Thanks

Luke

Hello Luke,

This setting is configured in [lms|cms].env.json file, the Native install places these files in /edx/app/edxapp directory. To get the files this setting is called, just explore sources on github.

Kind regards,
  Liubov
