Is it possible to automatically assign SSO users to a specific group?

We plan to offer a course that is available to the public, however within this course, a specific part should only be accessible for students of the university.

Is it possible to let SSO users automatically end up in a group, giving them access to that content, and let all other users end up in a group that cannot access that specific content?
