The honor track does not include a certificate

My course has honor mode and i have activated the certificate in the studio. I can preview certificate in the studio but in the lms when a student navigates to the progress section it says "You are enrolled in the honor track for this course. The honor track does not include a certificate." How can i allow on demand certificate to the students in honor mode?  What i want is to allow students free certificate on receiving passing grade, what is the error here?
