Problem with open edx eucalyptus.2 insights

HI,

I have  installed EDX eucalyptus.2 following this doc on ubuntu 12.04 (manual install): https://openedx.atlassian.net/wiki/display/OpenOPS/Native+Open+edX+Ubuntu+12.04+64+bit+Installation.

Now I want to install insights . And  I type commad :　sudo /edx/bin/supervisorctl status

Does it mean that insights and API is installed?  But there is no  pipeline .

If yes , is there any documentation about how to install pipeline ? 

If no ,  should  I  install insights following this doc: https://openedx.atlassian.net/wiki/display/OpenOPS/edX+Analytics+Installation  or other documentation?

I have installed insights on another server  following this doc: https://openedx.atlassian.net/wiki/display/OpenOPS/edX+Analytics+Installation

Now I run the command  successfully:

remote-task --host localhost --user insight --remote-name analyticstack --skip-setup --wait ImportEnrollmentsIntoMysql --interval 2015 --local-scheduler

But I can not see the chart about daily enrollment : 

 

Here is the insights/edx.log:

Is there anything that I need to configure or any command I missed ?

By the way I enabled AUTO_AUTH following this :

https://github.com/edx/edx-analytics-dashboard#Authentication & Authorization

I can login insights like this : http://ip:18110/test/auto_auth 

Is that a problem?

Hi Jheng,

The insights/edx.log snippet you posted refers to the demo course, but your database appears to have data for the NKUHTx course. Do you still see this error if you navigate to the NKUHTx course's enrollment chart?

I rerun the task ,now I have these tables .

And a small part of course_enrollment_birth_year_daily table:

But I got the same error like :

Does the error message mean that I miss some setting about API server or database?

Hi Jheng,

It still looks like you are requesting a course for which you have no data. Your request is for "edX/DemoX/Demo_Course", however, your database contains data for "course-v1:edX+DemoX+Demo_Course". Although they sound like they are the same, these are actually two different courses.

This solved the issue. But I encounted an new issue : 

The chart doesn't show up. And there is nothing special in the insights/edx.log and ananalytics-api/edx.log .

I found this (number.json is not found) :

Does this cause the issue?

Hi Jheng,

That's great that you've made it so far in getting Insights working!  The problem you're running into is with our package for automatically localizing numbers on pages.

We've fixed this in a commit last year, https://github.com/edx/edx-analytics-dashboard/commit/77b85cf1a9a7a51425668ccc4d6a092a91e999aa.  Please update your version of Insights to a more recent version or cherry pick the commit.
