What is ECOMMERCE_COURSE_CATALOG_URL used for? What do we set it too?

Hi,

In eucalyptus, for ecommerce/defaults/main.yml, I see this variable:

ECOMMERCE_COURSE_CATALOG_URL: 'http://localhost:8008'

ECOMMERCE_SERVICE_CONFIG:

    ...

    COURSE_CATALOG_API_URL: '{{ ECOMMERCE_COURSE_CATALOG_URL }}/api/v1/'

    ...

   

Anyone know what this is intended for and to what host we are supposed to set it?

That is the URL for the Catalog Service (https://github.com/edx/course-discovery/). This service has not been officially released to open source, so the value should be set to null.
