Schedule for ElasticSearch 1.x Support?

Hi everyone,

We at OpenCraft have a business need to upgrade our Open edX instances to ElasticSearch 1.x or greater as soon as possible. I know this is something that edX has been planning for some time, and there is an open PR to make the forums service compatible. Are there any updates on when the rest of that work might be scheduled? And is this support something that might be included in Ficus, or no?

Hi Braden, we're planning to pick this up within the next couple of sprints. So either starting mid-December or early January. I don't have a sense of the scope yet, but it's likely not going to make it into Ficus.
