Hi,

I'm having trouble with the ecommerce module. When students accessing a Professional course, click on Enroll, this error show up:

Look like it's missing the COURSE_CATALOG_API_URL setting but I couldn't see the course catalog service running anywhere.

According to this tutorial, the URL should be set as following (/edx/etc/ecommerce.yml):

COURSE_CATALOG_API_URL: http://myopenedx.com:8008/api/v1/

Where could I turn on the Course Catalog Service on my instance? I'm running the latest release.

Thanks,

I think you need to set up the course discovery service: https://github.com/edx/course-discovery and then follow these instructions for integrating with the LMS:
https://open-edx-course-catalog.readthedocs.io/en/latest/getting_started.html#lms-integration

However, the course discovery service is not officially released yet, and will only be made available on the next release of Open edX (Gingko), so just be aware that you're trying to use an unreleased and unsupported version of the software.

Thanks Nate,

I figured that out. Just some misconfiguration of Oauth2 for the exommerce service that caused my problem.

Thanks,
