Hello,

Im new to this so please pardon me if i have posted in the wrong group.
We are planning to utilize the open edX solution and build a training solution that we would like to customize and sell as a part of our suite of products.
We are planning to use open edX as platform for managing training content as well as its users.

In this regard, I would like to know if
- We can go ahead and use the open edX components [code/components] for building of our application?
- We can build a mobile app based on this?

Is there any kind of charges that we need to pay to open edX each time we tie up with a client for the usage of the tool built on this?

We intend to keep the source code open and accessible to general public as per AGPL Standards.

Thanks for the help in advance

Jagadish

Hi Jagadish,

You may go ahead and use the Open edX components, provided you make the code available per the terms of the AGPL. Our mobile app code is also open source, or you are free to build your own app (I'm not sure which you were interested in here). The Open edX platform is free and open source software, so there are no charges, again provided you are meeting the terms of the AGPL.
