Firebase analytics integration in openEdx android app

Hi,

Has anyone integrated firebase analytics in openedx android mobile app.

In android studio, from tools>firebase>connect to firebase, gives me error

"Could not parse the Android Application Module's Gradle config. Resolve gradle build issues and/or resync."

And if I go the other way create a project and app in firebase console, download the json file, add the related SDKs( which are already added), the last step never completes that is firebase is not able to recognise my app. I have created SHA code as well.

Also in the config file Firebase_enabled is set to true.

Need to integrate this fast, anything am I missing?
