Hello everyone, We are exploring the possibility of delivering http adaptive streaming feeds to open edx video player. Specifically MPEG-DASH based playlists. Does the edx player support mpeg-dash playlists or manifests or any other adaptive streaming technology like HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) etc. Any information/pointers would on this would be really helpful. We essentially wish to use this technology to encrypt our videos and store them on S3 and then have them decrypted on the client side. Thank you.

The HTML5 part of the edX player does not currently support either MPEG-DASH or HLS playback. It would need to be modified in order to be able to read the .m3u playlists for adaptive streaming playback.
