Force user verification email before enroll a course

Hi,

According to this documentation https://edx.readthedocs.io/projects/open-edx-building-and-running-a-course/en/named-release-birch/running_course/course_enrollment.html#registration-enrollment, a student would need to activate his account before enroll a course. 

I am using Ficus and currently, this is not the case. So, is there any option/FLAG to activate this features? Is it a documentation error?

looks like Auto Enroll option is on for you.

Thanks for your reply. 

From what I understood Auto Enroll is a feature related to Instructor Dashboard. 

My use case is a user who accessed to the course list and enrolled the course by clicking on the enroll button.

I confirm having the same issue, would be great to find a solution for this.
