What capacity should the server have to withstand the load of 100 students, 1,000 students, 10,000 students?

Capacity generally depends on concurrent learners (rather than total). Do you have a sense for about how many learners would be using the system at a given time, at the peak?

that will be closed platform for our collegues. 

i asked this question because i cant realize how much memory consumed per 1 user.
what if we have 1 course with 5 videos and 25-30 test questions. xeon 4x2.5, ssd, 1 Gbit channel and 8 ram will be enough for 500 users?

I think I remember Ned saying once that 1GB of RAM will support 70 concurrent users.
