License of Open Learning XML format

Hi,

I had a look at the information at https://open.edx.org/open-edx-licensing

I'm interested in using Open Learning XML outside of edX, but I can't find any information as to the licensing of the format and content itself.

As I understand the output of AGPL code (i.e. the generated XML from Open Edx) normally isn't AGPL itself, but I just wanted to confirm that this is the intention.

Is there any license information for the Open Learning XML format and conforming to the specification itself? Is there any restrictions on using the XML generated from Open Edx?

I would love to use Open Learning XML as to allow portability of content.

Hi - this is a great question, and I unfortunately do not know. I will look into this and get back to you. 

For content matters, I don't think AGPL applies, but I don't know if we explicitly licensed the format. I'll consult with our legal team and get back to you.
