Hide 'preview' area in NumericalInput

In quiz mode, let's say I create a numerical input field.
How do I get rid off the input preview field? Also, is there a way to change with of the text-box?

Hello Jay,
Our team usually uses extended XML problem editor replacing <formulaequationinput> with <textline> (without math attribute). The resulting problem works at least at Dogwood version of the platform (the value in different formats is checked correctly). Unfortunately this alternative is deprecated by developers (see docs) and could be removed soon.
Maybe some option to hide the preview field could be discussed, it's interesting to know the point of view of capa developers.
