choosing the best attempt for the exam

Hi!

Who faced the need to choose the best result when passing the test several times?

Description:

One test task can be transmitted many times.

It is necessary to automatically choose the ranking of the best students from all attempts.

Problem:

The main Edx functionality does not allow this.

Questions:

How and where to store the results for all attempts to pass the test task?

How to provide data to the system so that in the logs and the database the best attempt looks like the only one?

Has anyone solved such problems?

How best to implement?

+1 - interested in hearing how we might surface the most recent or best course grade for a student on the dashboard.  Currently, we allow 2 submissions of our final exams, which is the only graded content on our courses.  

The dashboard appears to show only the first passing grade submitted (so if students do better on their second try, their dashboard doesn't reflect this).
