I tried to run the update on edx-platform. The gather assets task didn't pass. I therefore manually compiled assets: paver update_assets cms --settings=aws

I got the following:

edxapp@edx:~/edx-platform$ paver update_assets cms --settings=aws --debug
---> pavelib.assets.update_assets
---> pavelib.prereqs.install_node_prereqs
NO_PREREQ_INSTALL is set, not installing prereqs
python manage.py cms --settings=aws preprocess_assets cms/static/sass/*.scss cms/static/themed_sass

Any idea why compile_sass got killed with no reason?

Please help.

Thank you.

Hi Zhen,

I believe that the process ran out of memory. We are investigating why the Sass compilation is so memory intensive, but in the meantime you should just increase your memory allocation.
