Is anyone using the 'programs' service of Ficus.2?

Hi,
Installation of Ficus.2 codebase includes 'programs' service. Is this service fully functional and ready for production use? Have people used this feature in Ficus.2?
We are in advanced stage of readiness for a Ficus release so would really like to get this feature to work in Ficus. So far we have only met with limited success. Just want to know so that we can take a call regarding whether to continue working on this feature.
