mobile development and support

I see there is a edx Mobile app for iOS and Android (http://edx.readthedocs.io/projects/edx-installing-configuring-and-running/en/latest/mobile.html).

I suspect they are not based on Cordova (https://cordova.apache.org)?

I am guessing courses on edx.org are supported by the mobile apps by default, granted the mobile apps have limited capabilities.

Is there any support for LTI based applications that talk to edx?
  For example, is there any special information sent across the LTI interface to let our side note the user is using the edx mobile app?

as far as i recall LTI is not supported on mobile (http://edx.readthedocs.io/projects/open-edx-learner-guide/en/latest/SFD_mobile.html#what-types-of-problems-can-i-do-in-the-mobile-app)

as for the rest of your questions 

- both apps are native apps (iOS & Android).

- edx.org reports that 94% of their courses are mobile-friendly, so they skipped "mobile friendly" flag and displays all courses in the app. the only thing is that for the unsuported content it displays a link to open it in the browser.

Is there a way to point the mobile add at edge.edx.org ?

I am guessing, I would likely have to modify the code to do this.
