I spent a bit of time yesterday adding an extra feature to the tool
which looks up n-gram counts. You can now put in a verb and get the
counts for the major inflections, so for 食べる you get:
食べる19179416
食べます1168041
食べない1882110
食べぬ1561
食べず354272
食べません281265
食べた10032006
食べました 3397730
.....
The user interface (https://www.edrdg.org/~jwb/ngramcounts.html) is
deliberately simple; the only options are to indicate if a -る verb is
v1 as the default is v5r, and if you want to see the -する family. For
する, I have included some of the vs-s inflections as well so you get
the counts for both Xしない and Xさない, etc. etc.

It's still a bit of a work-in-progress and is only available for the
Google n-grams on the edrdg.org server. Feedback is welcome.

Cheers

Jim

A few updates to this:
- I have added an option to suppress the "No matches" lines when a
string is not in the n-grams.
- I have re-enabled the "show n-gram details" option (via
Mecab/Unidic) for the common term display.
- it's now working for both the Google and KM n-grams.

Cheers
