Seeing some error while validating the CCDA file received from SMTP Test 25(a) (Receive Text and CCDA)

Greeting,

We are seeing some error while validating the CCDA file received from SMTP Test 25(a) (Receive Text and CCDA).

Please find the attached CCDA file received on SMTP Test 25(a) (Receive Text and CCDA) and screenshot of error.

I'm not sure if there's a better way, but I would start stripping out information from the XML until you get it passing, then try adding each section back in until you find which section is causing the error. After that, it should be easier to dig into.

After validating same file at https://site.healthit.gov/sandbox-ccda/ccda-validator, found out issue is due to precondition section of medication as shown in screenshot. 

After removing faulty section, validator validates CCDA file successfully.

since, we are receiving this CCDA file in our inbox, can you please help us to understand why we are seeing this issue in received CCDA file?

Hi Nagesh,

Thanks for the reply.  We are doing SMTP dry run to test the B(1) Certification criteria and we are running the test case  25(a) (Receive Text and CCDA) at https://ett.healthit.gov/ett/#/certification/certb1. As part of this test, we are receiving this faulty CCDA file (CCDA_Ambulatory.xml). So, any one can help us to understand this? or at least share CCDA_Ambulatory.xml file from test tool to compare with file received by us?

Dragon, in reviewing your response, I wanted to clarify that the "someone sending the XML" is the ETT. These files are being received by our system from the ETT in the performance of the Receive test cases for criterion b1. While there are several Receive tests sending files that contain unexpected errors, a good example is those ambulatory files received from SMTP Test 9, 16, 20 and SMTP 25(a). The errors we are receiving by our system's internal validation tool are identical to the ones we see in the ETT validation tool using the ETT file. However, these are not tests where we would expect to see errors in the received files.

Would you mind reviewing the ETT files and screenshot of error previously shared and providing guidance? There appears to be an issue with the files being sent from the ETT.

We are working on some test data updates for the release.. This is being addressed as part of the release.

We are looking at a release early next week with these test data changes.
