Regarding Commands for running in Cadence Xcelium 20.09 Tool

Hi Team,

Hope doing well.

When I am Running an UVM based TB environment setup with  Aldec Riviera Pro 2020.04 Tool  by enabling coverage option on a run.do file as below. Its working for me.

vsim +access+r;

run -all;

acdb save;

acdb report -db fcover.acdb -txt -o cov.txt;

exit

But When I am running the same with Cadence Xcelium 20.09 Tool then what are the commands i need to set? I am not getting it .

FYI : The same i need to write in a run.do file in order to run using cadence Xcelium

I need help for this. Can you please ?

Hi Siba,

You need:

  run
  coverage -dump test1

However, Cadence supply another tool for looking at coverage and this is not installed on EDA Playground at the moment. So, these commands will give you some information, but not everything.

Much thanks for the response.

I tried with the said command in the run.do file. The simulation seems working and the files are also downloaded after run.

But in the downloaded zip folder i am not able to see any information (No information) related to coverage. 

At the same time , I am observing the below message in the log file.

To generate coverage data, coverage type(s) must be specified at the elaboration stage using appropriate coverage options/commands.

Here the snapshot of Playground also attached. Could you please advise ,where i am doing wrong.

Ah. You probably need to add

    -coverage all -covoverwrite

to the Compile Options.
