EcoRestoration Alliance LLC is now a 501(c)3 corporation! Who do you know?

Thanks to the fine work of Evan Blackmon and the ERA Steering Committee, the ERA is now a full blown 501(c)3 nonprofit, able to accept Tax Deductible donations, etc.  In the New Year, we'll be reviewing ByLaws, electing Board Members, etc.  

(This being November, it's also a good time to be thinking about tax deductible donations and possible donors.

If you are, or know anyone, who might be interested in supporting our efforts please let me know.  

If you are, or know anyone, with savvy in fund-raising and donor management, please let me know.

If you have any other bright ideas, we're all ears!)

An Endorsement of the EcoRestoration Alliance (ERA)

I have been involved with and supportive of the ERA since its very beginnings, because I saw so much potential in developing a network of people involved in ecological restoration, so that they could learn from and reinforce each other’s efforts. Since that start, the ERA has been living up to its promise with biweekly Town Hall Meetings and weekly Steering Committee Meetings, both of which I attend whenever I am available to do so. The Town Hall Meetings have been characterized by a series of very informative presentations about the work being done by ERA members across the globe. There are also some more ambitious undertakings being considered that will likely expand the impact of these efforts into a global sphere. The potential of ecological restoration initiatives to reverse global warming by cooling our planet through natural processes including more photosynthesis on the ground is very feasible, if enough people become more engaged with these efforts. That is ERA’s goal, and there is very little I can think of that could be more important than this endeavor. ERA needs support from all of those who care about our ravaged planet and the dire effects of climate change.
