Cannot map protein and position in genomic code

Hi,

I have used Protein API to get the genomic coordinates for list of proteins. However, I received several errors for some entries.

Some are as follows,

https://www.ebi.ac.uk/proteins/api/coordinates/location/Q9BX63:990	:Can not find coordinates for accession: {Q9BX63}
https://www.ebi.ac.uk/proteins/api/coordinates/location/P05161:163	:Unexpected error, please try again later
https://www.ebi.ac.uk/proteins/api/coordinates/location/P05161:162	:Unexpected error, please try again later
https://www.ebi.ac.uk/proteins/api/coordinates/location/Q86UR1:436	:Can not find coordinates for accession: {Q86UR1}
https://www.ebi.ac.uk/proteins/api/coordinates/location/P18887:523	:Can not find coordinates for accession: {P18887}
https://www.ebi.ac.uk/proteins/api/coordinates/location/Q13625:1098	:Can not find coordinates for accession: {Q13625}

Will you able to help me why it not giving cordinates?

Hello Madhubhanie Senadheera,

First of all, thank you very much for your feedback. 

You described us 2 different issues with coordinates API.

1. Unexpected error, please try again later: 

This was a bug in the code. We fixed it: Now this URL should work fine 

https://www.ebi.ac.uk/proteins/api/coordinates/location/P05161:162

2. Can not find coordinates for accession: 

We investigated it and noticed that these UniProt accessions were not loaded by our import procedure. For it, we opened a ticket and as soon as we get a resolution date, we will let you know. Unfortunatelly this is not a quick fix like the first one.
